What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is about the expression of our inner world through the making of art. Our inner world is complex and has many depths. Sometimes we struggle to open up, to find the words, to express, or to understand our selves. Art therapy can bridge our nonverbal to verbal and our confusion to clarity. In an art therapy session, I encourage clients to use a variety of materials to create lines, marks, shapes, and forms. With openness and curiosity, I then show you how the bridge works and how it can guide you to your inner wellness.
